Supporting Families in Our Community

Mission Statement

We exist to help people know God, discover their purpose and create change.

Vision

We are devoted to building an engaged, passionate and spiritually-healthy community of people and to make our family worship centre a hub for the community.

We believe.

Follow me as I follow Christ.

Since 2003, Fireproof Ministry has been an independent Pentecostal church in the Chalkfarm neighbourhood of Toronto (Downsview). We began with a mandate to strengthen our community and improve people’s welfare through education, support and spiritual growth in the worship of God. From a small congregation that gathered in the Chalkfarm community centre, we have since doubled our membership and moved to our current location on Westmore Drive, close to Finch and Highway 27.

Providing worship, education and support for the Chalkfarm community.

Our membership is family-oriented, inclusive and multicultural. We are guided by God to educate and equip our worshippers to take charge of their personal well-being and livelihood. In addition to worship services, we provide much-needed access to education, support, resources and community services to improve all aspects of life: spiritual, physical, mental and financial.

A church that grew out of community need.

The Fireproof church was founded by Bishop Green in the early 2000s as an informal worship service in the Chalkfarm neighbourhood of Toronto. At that time, Chalkfarm was a very troubled community that needed support. Fireproof quickly emerged as a beacon of hope, a place where people came to pray, receive guidance for their lives, and assistance to give their youth focus and direction. Over two years, it emerged from a grassroots movement to a full Ministry, led by Bishop Green.

About our Leadership Team and Their Mandate
